Chan Park, DDS, MD, FACS, FACD


Dr. Park is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS). He is one of the select few individuals who holds a fellowship in both the American College of Surgeons and American College of Dentists. He is a former Residency Program Director and Division Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Highland Hospital and a previously tenured Associate Professor at UOP School of Dentistry.

Dr. Park is involved in organized dentistry both locally and nationally. He is currently serving as the President in the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS). He is also serving in the House of Delegates and is a Reference Committee member for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). Furthermore, he is an examiner for American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), which is an accrediting body for board certification for all OMS.

Dr. Park is a full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon and is delighted to bring his cutting-edge surgical skills from academics to private practice. He is an expert and leader in the field of OMS; he has spent nearly a decade performing complex surgeries referred from community doctors from all over northern California. He has performed over 3000 major operations and has trained and graduated over 24 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. With his skills and expertise, you can rest assured that all your OMS and Dental Implant needs will be managed with the utmost excellence and care.

When not at the office, Dr. Park loves to spend time with his wife, and two kids, 8 y.o.Ethan and 6 y.o. Zoey. He lives in Danville, and loves to be part of the community and everything that the area offers.

Benjamin R. Shimel, DDS

Dr. Shimel is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS) who was born in Vallejo and grew up in the Bay Area. Despite attending tempting interviews all over the country, Dr. Shimel decided to stay in the Bay area and completed his DDS degree at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He also completed his residency training at Highland Hospital in Oakland. From there, he served for two and a half years as Assistant Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Highland Hospital Residency and Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.

Dr. Shimel is involved in organized dentistry both locally and nationally. He is currently serving as the Chair of Committee on Anesthesia and Committee on Exhibits in the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS).

Dr. Shimel is a full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon and is delighted to bring his cutting-edge surgical skills from academics to private practice. Having spent the past 6+ years working in academics, Dr. Shimel is excited to bring his skills to private practice where his interests in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery include incorporating cutting edge technology to offer the latest advances in implant dentistry and reconstruction, as well as Orthognathic and Craniofacial Surgery at Children’s Hospital where he and Dr. Park maintain privileges.

When not at the office, Dr. Shimel and his wife love to travel, always looking for new experiences and restaurants along the way. His hobbies include home improvement projects, and he has been enjoying cultivating his green thumb.

Dr. Shimel enjoys the family feel of the office that he and Dr. Park have built and looks forward to many years of providing upstanding patient care.
